Watermelon Queen 2021 - Anna Young
Miss Anna Young was crowned as the 2021 North Carolina Watermelon Queen during the North Carolina Watermelon Association's virtual pageant on March14, 2021. For the second year, the North Carolina Watermelon Association Convention was postponed due to Covid-19 gathering restrictions but the association worked diligently to crown a 2021 Queen to represent their product.
David and Angela Young Agricultural Science with an Agri-Business Concentration. obtain a career working in marketing or global outreach for an agricultural companyParliamentary Procedureaccredited Parliamentarian. Anna is active in her community serving as a Buncombe County Farm Bureau Women's Committee Board Member and a Madison County Chamber of Commerce Youth Outreach Representative. She enjoys photography, dancing, music and her Bible studies.
As North Carolina Watermelon Queen, Anna hopes to share her love of watermelon while serving as the spokesperson for the North Carolina watermelon industry all across the state. Anna will hold the state title for one year and represent the NCWA at the 2022 NWA Convention.

The North Carolina Watermelon Association will be holding its Annual Watermelon Queen Scholarship Pageant in March 2022.
